With all important maths concepts like zero, trignometry, pi, etc invented in India, have a look at the intellect of a Brahmin mathematician named Lahur Sissa
In 3000 BCE, Brahmin Lahur showed his invention of Chess to King Ladava of South India King became extremely happy & offered him 10,000 golden coins But Lahur rejected the offer & asked the king to make him a minister in his cabinet But the king refused & asked Lahur to ask for anything else but not ministry So, Lahur requested the King to give him 1 wheat grain for 1 square of the chessboard, 2 grains for second, 4 for 3rd & so on till 64 King thought Lahur is foolish to have asked for wheat grains instead of gold coins & agreed. But afterwards, his ministers told him thats its impossible to get so many number of grains which comes to 1 with 20 zeroes!!! Finally, king made him a cabinet minister |
