In English, that's a thousand trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion games. 3. The longest Chess game theoretically possible is 5,949 moves. 4. The Chinese Emperor Wen-ti executed two foreign Chess Players after learning that one of the pieces was called 'Emperor.' He was upset that his title of ‘Emperor’ could be associated with a mere game & forbade the game. 5. Longest Chess Problem, mate in 290 moves was created by Blathy, Otto (1860-1939). 6. In 1925, Reti played against 30 players simultaneously without watching the chess board (blindfold). He won almost all the games. It was a world record. When he was going home after that, he forgot a suitcase. When somebody reminded him about it, Reti said: "Thank you very much. My memory is so bad......" 7. Uneducated Mir Sultan Khan, a player from British India never read a single Chess book during his lifetime, yet was ranked World number 6 during 1930’s defeating World champions like Capablanca. 8. Gyorgy Negyesy who died in 1992, just before his 99th birthday, was the longest living master chess player. 10. Longest games recorded was between Nikolic & Arsovic, held in Yugoslavia in 1989.
